Hello All!

First of all, I want to offer my sincerest apologies for the lack of activity in BleedingHeartsPoetry as of late. The former head Admin !li1121 is obviously no longer an active deviant. He stepped down a few weeks ago in order to pursue real life.

I know the submission folder has reached its limit. I have been trying to think of ideas for how to handle this for a few days now. I don't want to continually create new feature folders every time one fills up. If anyone has any ideas--perhaps organizational ideas--that would be greatly appreciated.

All of this being said, my own life is very hectic. I am 23 years old, a wife, and working for an insurance company that requires mandatory overtime every week. The last thing I want to do is close down BleedingHearts. It was the first group I ever created, and it is still dear to me, despite my absence. What I am looking for is help.

I would like to find a few good admins who are online every day to help me run BleedingHearts, because I simply cannot do it on my own. If you are interested, please send the group or myself personally (~MagpieVon ) a note with the following criteria covered in the comment section:
1. Why would you be a good candidate for the job?
2. Are you able to be online at least five days a week to check in on the group?
3. Do you have any ideas for bettering the group?

So once again, if anyone has ideas for folder organization, please leave a comment or send a note. If you are interested in an admin position here at BleedingHearts, please send the group or myself, ~MagpieVon a note.

Thanks for the understanding, Everyone! I beg that you'll be patient during this period of change and hang in there!

~*Magpie

Hey, I would be interested in becoming an admin for the group; and to answer your questions:
1) I'm a writer, artist and I love to read the work of other people - I have a good sense of what the group should accept.
2) I am on deviantART everyday for at least an hour.
3) I have a few ideas but they may need perfecting; but I agree with the other comments about making the categories more precise and get rid of the feature folder.

Hi Magpie. I would very much be interested in becoming an admin for BleedingHearts, and to answer your question, here are my answers:

1. Why would you be a good candidate for the job? I am a creative, open minded person. I am a writer and an artist myself, so I love reading other people's work and have a fairly good sense of what would be acceptable to what group.

2. Are you able to be online at least five days a week to check in on the group? 9 times out of 10 I should be. the 1/10 refers to if my internet would go down or if I was away on holiday. In the prior event, there's not much I can do but in the latter, I would try and give you advanced notice, whenever possible.

3. Do you have any ideas for bettering the group? I have a few ideas, seeing as I was considering looking into creating a group myself. I am not entirely sure of their quality standard but they are there, I assure you. I also agree greatly, with the cementers above; to make the categories more precise and to get rid of the feature folder are both amazing ideas!

I don't think I have the time to look after yet another group myself, sorry, I hope you find someone!

Hello! It's good to actually have some more free time to spend on deviantART again! Ann's doing very well! She's VERY busy with school, not to mention internet at my dad's house is VERY slow. I know she does miss deviantART, and often asks about people she follows. I try to keep up with everyone. I'll tell her that you say hello next time I talk to her! I'll be seeing her next weekend!

Why not create different categories for the submissions? Like when we submit art we have to classify it as "teen romance," "macabre," etc etc.

Why not just do the same?

Yes, I've been considering this. This is what I do with my other group, :iconwritersareartiststoo:. My only issue with this is that pieces tend to get submitted to the wrong category frequently, so I would always need a staff member to go through each piece to make sure it's being submitted correctly. This can be very time consuming. I'm still heavily considering this option, though! Thank you for the input!

I volunteer! haha

But you could have everyone just submit to a featured folder where they would then be sorted "properly," so to speak. And like I said in the note I sent you, I check my dA daily, so I wouldn't mind taking the time to do this.

You can create more folders so you don't need a feature folder, too many things gets over looked there, I know how you feel being busy, I'm 25 married goes to school, and work full time, and I'm a founder of a group too, If you need advice or help note me, I would gladly help. :0

I'm thinking about organizing per category of writing (i.e. romance, family life, general, etc). The only issue I have with this is that it tends to be very time consuming, given the fact that a staff member would need to go through each submission to ensure it's being submitted correctly. This is the system I use for my other group :iconwritersareartiststoo:, and I've noticed that pieces are frequently submitted into the incorrect folder. It's definitely still one of my top options, though. Thank you!
